Meet the agave spirit you haven't heard of — yet. Kilinga is bringing bacanora to Whisky Week, and it's a story worth knowing.
Bacanora is a distilled agave spirit from the sun-scorched desert of Sonora, Mexico, made exclusively from the native Agave Angustifolia — and it's been enjoyed in Mexico for over 300 years. Kilinga, a family-owned producer founded by Rodrigo Bojorquez Bours, is one of only a handful of brands recognized by the Consejo Sonorense Regulador del Bacanora, and the first officially recognized bacanora to reach the U.S. market. Every bottle is small-batch, double-distilled, and made from agave grown on the family's own farm in Álamos, Sonora.
